Immediate Action

  1. Book your schedule
    • Book your personal schedule of for all conference days (TENTATIVE program disclosed)

      Log-on EDAS and check the 'Track' field of your paper.

      The draft of the conference schedule indicates tentative session assignments.

      The conference may not accept individual requests about the dates from the authors (the program must precede the chairpersons' restriction).

  2. Invitation Letter
    • If your organization requires an invitation letter, please print it by yourself.

      Log-on EDAS and click a Visa icon of your paper. An invitation letter will be automatically provided.

      Note that this document is not valid for visa issuance.

  3. Visa
    • Check whether the country of your nationality has visa exemptions with Japan.

      Exemption of visa is listed in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

    • If not, start preparation of your visa application.

  4. [New] Poster/Demo Authors (until Aug. 20)
    • [Poster Authors] Notify us if and only if you need a desk at your poster booth.

      Demo! category is newly introduced from the GCCE 2014, so only a poster panel (and two chairs) will be provided for a poster booth.

      Please notify us if and only if you need a desk to exhibit something (replace '15nnnnnnnn' in Subject: as your paper ID).

    • [Demo! Authors] Fill a "Survey Sheet of Your Demo! Booth", and submit to us.

      The survey sheet is very important for booth allocation to minimize conflictions with another booth, especially you are using active equipments (including Microsoft Kinect).

Before the deadline of Final Paper Submission

  1. Submission of Final Paper
    • Make sure that you are using an A4-sized IEEE template.

      Get genuine IEEE publishing template. Many review manuscripts were submitted in Letter-sized format, but they will not be accepted as a final manuscript.

    • Prepare Final Camera-ready Manuscript (up to 5-pages).

      Prepare Final Camera-ready Manuscript (up to 5-pages) for the Proceedings of 2014 IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics. If you intend to extend your review manuscript for full-length submission to the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics or any other IEEE transactions in the future, you have to submit your Final Digest Paper (2 pages) instead.

      Title must be capitalized as follows: This is a Sample of Title Capitalization Rule for the Proceedings of the IEEE GCCE 2014.

    • Make your final PDF be IEEE-compatible before upload.

      You have to make your final PDF be IEEE-compatible by processing it by IEEE PDF eXpress (the 'Conference ID' for the GCCE is '33711X').

  2. EDAS information updates and IEEE Copyright Form submission
    • Check authors' name and type (student / academia / industry / ...).

      Log-on EDAS, click your paper and check all authors' names and types. Student award will be only given to the paper whose first author is a full-time student. You can use a pencil icon to modify the authors' information.

    • Update your paper title and abstract according to your final manuscript.

      Conference program and booklet with paper titles and abstracts will be edited using the papers' and authors' information registered into EDAS.

    • Submit "IEEE Copyright Form."

      Submit your copyright form via the EDAS.

  3. Registration for one of the authors
    • Make a registration for your paper.

      An early-bird registration is required for one of the authors at least. See "Registration."

      10-digit paper ID of EDAS will be required for an author's registrations.

After the deadline of Final Paper Submission

  1. Check detailed session schedule of your track.
  2. Start preparation of your presetation.
