Presentation Guidelines
Oral Presentations
20 minutes (approx. 15 + 5) of Oral presentations will include:
- A brief introduction of the speaker by Session Chair
- The body of your presentation
- A brief question-and-answer period
- A setting minute to change over to the next presenter
Please prepare the presenter's brief bio and give it to Session Chairs before beginning of your session.
Each presentation room has a Windows PC with a PowerPoint Viewer and an Adobe Reader. You may also use your own Windows PC or Macintosh via a VGA (DSUB 15-pin) connector.
Attn: Best Paper Award and Best Student Paper Award will be chosen from papers presented at Award Session and Student Award Session. The award winners will be announced at the Award Banquet on Oct. 11th.
The session chair will check your presentation and take photos during the session. Please note that if you are not there, your paper will not appear in the IEEE Xplore.
Poster/Demo Presentations
Based on votes of participants, Best Poster Award and Best Student Poster Award will be chosen, the award winners will be announced at the Award Banquet on Oct. 11th.
Panel boards for each poster will be provided in the morning, for Poster Session. The board is 1.8 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, A0 size (1.190m x 0.841m) poster is available. Materials for attaching the poster, e.g. pushpins, will be provided at the poster session room.
The GCCE 2018 sets so-called “CORE TIME” for poster presentations. The first 60 minutes of the poster session is the core time for the presentations with odd-number, and the next 60 minutes is the core time for even-number presentations. During the core time, each presenter must be in front of the poster and concentrate on the presentation. The presentation number will be given in the registration desk on your presentation day. The poster chair will visit your booth and take photos during the session. Please note that if you are not there, your paper will not appear in the IEEE Xplore.
