Greeting from the Founder and Director of IEEE GCCE
On behalf of the organizing members, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2017 IEEE 6th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE 2017) to be held in Nagoya, Japan on October 24-27, 2017.
This new conference was planned by Dr. Stefan Mozar, Vice President of the Conference, and me, and is strongly supported by Mr. Stephen Dukes, President. First, I wish to thank Mr. Dukes, Dr. Mozar and all the members of Consumer Electronics Society who have endeavored to establish the conference.
I would like to give a special thanks to the executives of the associations and societies of Japan, including, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers, the Information Processing Society of Japan, Game Amusement Society, Japan Institute of Power Electronics, Human Interface Society, the Japan Ergonomics Society, and Japan Society of Kansei Engineering.
Before the GCCE was established, the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society had held two successful conferences, the International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE) in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show, and ICCE-Berlin in conjunction with IFA. The GCCE is a sister conference of the ICCE and the ICCE-Berlin. Furthermore, the International Chapters of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society held successful conferences, the International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE) every year. Furthermore, the Consumer Electronics Society has held new conferences including the International Conference on Consumer Electronics Taiwan (ICCE-TW), the International Conference on Consumer Electronics Asia (ICCE-Asia), and the International Conference on Consumer Electronics China (ICCE-China).
This conference will be endorsed by a strong scientific and technical program and by the attendance of senior engineers and younger delegates from various countries. I believe that it is very important for us to discuss interesting topics and exchange ideas. Through the GCCE, we will continue to stimulate and inspire each other.
