Greeting from the Founder and Director of IEEE GCCE
On behalf of the organizing members, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2015 IEEE 4th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE 2015) to be held in Osaka, Japan on October 27-30, 2015.
This new conference was planned by Dr. Stefan Mozar, Vice President of the Conference, and me, and is strongly supported by Mr. Stephen Dukes, President. First, I wish to thank Mr. Dukes, Dr. Mozar and all the members of Consumer Electronics Society who have endeavored to establish the conference.
I would like to give a special thanks to the executives of the associations and societies of Japan, including, the the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, the Institute of Image and Television Engineers, the Information Processing Society of Japan, the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers of Japan, the Game Amusement Society, the Japanese Society of Artificial Intelligence, the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, the Japan Electronics Show Association, the Communications and Information Network Association of Japan, and the Computer Software Association of Japan.
The IEEE Consumer Electronics Society has already held two successful conferences, the International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE) in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show, and ICCE-Berlin in conjunction with IFA. The GCCE is a sister conference of the ICCE and the ICCE-Berlin, and is held conjunction with the consumer electronics show, CEATEC Japan too. As a result, the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society has three annual conferences in conjunction with famous and large consumer electronics shows in three regions, the USA, Europe and Asia every year. Furthermore the International Chapters of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society held successful conferences, the International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE) every year. Furthermore the Consumer Electronics Society will held new conferences in China next year.
This conference will be endorsed by a strong scientific and technical program and by the attendance of senior engineers and younger delegates from various countries. I believe that it is very important for us to discuss interesting topics and exchange ideas. Through the GCCE, we will continue to stimulate and inspire each other.
I hope you have an enjoyable stay at the GCCE 2015 in Japan and I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
